Encroaching Darkness Block Mesh!

For this block mesh, I set out to challenge myself both artistically and technically. Inspired by the gothic aesthetic of Bloodborne, I designed a level that takes place at night, capturing a dark and atmospheric environment.

In addition to level design, I focused on expanding my programming capabilities by creating an intricate platforming experience. This level introduces and encourages players to master mechanics I implemented, including climbing, double jumping, and unlocking gates with hidden keys.

Unlike linear platforming challenges, this level embraces an open-world structure, rewarding exploration and discovery. Players must navigate the environment, locate objectives, and experiment with the movement system to progress.

This project was an invaluable learning experience that pushed my creative and technical skills. Overcoming these challenges has strengthened my abilities as a level designer, and I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned to future projects.
